John Wayne

Tomorrow, Kristen and I have the great privilege of taking our little John Wayne to Beijing to start the process to correct his club foot. We will spend the night in ZhengZhou tomorrow and then take the train to Beijing on Monday. It takes a lot of people to make something like this happen...doctors who will do the many procedures at no cost, a very special foster family who will take care of him during the two months of procedures, volunteers to take him to doctor appointments, and friends to put the whole thing together. I am so thankful to each and every one for being more than willing...excited...to help our little John Wayne. He is just a wonderful, happy baby and to help him have the chance to walk and run, skip and jump makes me happier than you can imagine.

The other thing it takes is supporters to allow us to keep John Wayne in Eagles Wings. At this time he does not have a sponsor, in fact only half of our children have their costs covered through child or bed sponsorship. While it is Linda's way to never say no to a child who needs us, the fact is that we just can't keep the children in Eagles Wings without more sponsors.
